P1 and 2 Class of 2012-2013

We made Easter egg costumes for our Spring Tea Party.  We sang 'An Easter Egg Hunt' for our audience then had lots of nice treats.

We celebrated World Book day by having a bedtime story day.  Even Miss Patterson wore her pyjamas to school!  The P4/5 class read stories to us.

The P1s invited a member of their family to come for a 'Stay and Play' morning.   We did various numeracy activities and had a lovely time sharing our learning experiences.

We have been learning about 'People Who Help Us.'  Lots of visitors have talked to us, including our school lollipop man Mr Graham and the Fire Brigade.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a lovely time!  We made crafts, jam hearts and partied at the school Disco.

100th Day of School

Each group celebrated our 100th day of school by putting 100 pegs into our peg boards.

Snow Day!

We wrapped up warm to enjoy outdoor play.  Keela tried on one of our new jackets- we will be wearing them with waterproof trousers when we use our new outdoor toys and equipment.

The winter weather also inspired our art activities - we made shaving foam snowmen and finger paint penguins.

The children dressed up as angels, camels and a star to take part in the nativity play, 'It's a Party!'  The show was a big success!

P1/2 have been learning about the Christmas story and festive traditions.  They have wrapped presents and been elves in Santa's workshop.

The P2s enjoyed a visit to Tesco.  They found out about different produce and used their Tonagh 'bags for life' to buy things at the till.  They also got to sample lots of nice food!

The P1s invited their Mummies, Daddies and Nannies to come for a tea party.  They had a lovely time making a teapot, singing songs and munching on tasty treats.

We enjoyed our first day at school!

We planted flowers.  We are looking forward to watching them grow this year.
