Action Cancer Health Awareness
The class took part in two sessions that made them aware of how the should live healthy lives. This included workshops on healthy eating, care in the sun, alcohol and drugs. at the end of the session all pupils put on small dramas to highlight issues involved with each of these topics.
Primary 7 open the new 'Pets at Home' store
Primary 7 enjoyed a trip to the new Pets at home store at the Sprucefield Centre. Pupils were involved in the opening ceremony with the Mayor. Pupils then received workshops on how to care for and look after different types of pets.
Primary 7 enjoy a trip to the Ulster Folk Museum
The P7s enjoyed experiencing what life used to be like in Ireland. They saw the diffrence in house sizes between the rich and poor. They were also able to witness how different jobs were done in the past. This included a visit to the 'Old Sweetshop'
Science fair at St Patrick's
Primary 7 enjoyed a trip to St Patrick's academy. They got to take part in several activities across Science, Technology and H.E. It was a very enjoyable day!
Primary 7 were very excited when they got a special delivery to their classroom...a reindeer! Primary 7 were then given the task of decorating the reindeer for the festive season. The reindeer will then be hidden in one of the local shop fronts! Good luck hunting!
It's 'snow fun' in Primary 7
100 days of school
Primary 7 celebrated passing the 100th day in school this year by having a '100 countries' challenge. In teams pupils had to name as many countries as they could.
